Project Overview
This project in Tettenhall, Wolverhampton involved the application of an epoxy resin system to a domestic garage floor that was suffering from moisture ingress.
The existing concrete floor did not have an effective damp-proofing mechanism beneath it, allowing moisture to rise through the slab and affect the usability and appearance of the space.

The Issue
The garage floor was subject to rising moisture through the concrete slab, resulting in damp conditions and an unsuitable surface for regular use.
Without a damp-proof barrier, moisture vapour was able to pass through the floor, affecting both the durability and cleanliness of the space.
In addition, the overall appearance of the garage was poor, and the client was looking for a solution that would enhance both function and aesthetics.
Our Approach
To address the issue, we applied a high-performance epoxy resin coating system to the garage floor.
This system acts as a damp- and vapour-resistant barrier, preventing moisture from rising through the slab while also providing a durable and hard-wearing surface.
To ensure full protection and a consistent finish, the coating was extended up the wall surfaces to approximately one metre in height, creating a sealed and easy-to-maintain environment.
Finishing
The epoxy system provides a smooth, seamless and highly durable finish, ideal for garage environments where resistance to moisture, wear and general use is essential.
The finished surface is both practical and visually improved, transforming the space into a cleaner and more usable area.
All works were completed efficiently, with the area left clean and tidy on completion.
