Damp Proofing Technician / Multi Trades Person

As a business we are always striving to continuously improve and expect our employees to do the same, taking pride in their work and having a strong desire to learn, as on-going training is given as part of our commitment to continuous improvement. The successful applicant should have a strong desire to learn the trades of a Building Preservation Specialist.

The ideal Multi-Skilled Building Preservation Technician will 

  • Be motivated and practical, with a knowledge and experience covering multiple general building trades.
  • Have a thirst for knowledge and a strong desire to learn the trades of a Building Preservation Specialist.
  • Be able to work to tight deadlines whilst maintaining a high quality of work.
  • Be able to work using your own initiative, and as part of a team.
  • Be able to communicate effectively with both clients and colleagues.
  • Be willing to work in a practical role where you “get your hands dirty”.
  • Be able conscientious and tidy.
  • Be able to work at heights and confined spaces.
  • Be of a decent standard of physical fitness and manual dexterity is essential.
  • Be keen to learn, punctual and professional.
  • Have a ‘Can do’ attitude, positive outlook and friendly demeanour.
  • Have their own basic tools.
  • Live within a commutable distance to Dudley and have the right to work in the UK.

JOB ROLE (not limited to):

  • Stripping plaster and installing various damp proofing systems
  • Installing timber, solid floors and skirting boards.
  • Dry lining, wet plastering / plaster boarding
  • Application of chemical treatments.
  • External rendering.
  • Adhering to all health and safety guidelines

Hours – Monday – Friday (hours variable)

Salary negotiable based on proven experience.

Trainee Plasterer / Damp Proofing Technician

  • be able to work using your own initiative, and as part of a team.

  • Help to Install ventilation systems
  • Assisting plasterer with external rendering.
  • Assisting technicians with concrete floor replacements.
  • Adhering to all health and safety guidelines

Hours – Monday – Friday (hours variable)

Surveyor -
Damp Timber & Waterproofing Industry Sector:

Area to be covered: West Midlands

The role will involve:

  • Field based surveyor position.
  • Surveying properties for signs of damp and timber defects.
  • Identifying root cause of problems.
  • Providing quotations for remedial works.
  • Compiling detailed survey reports.
  • Project managing technicians.
  • Ideally will have practical experience working with damp proofing, timber treatments & repair, structural waterproofing, structural repairs or survey experience.
  • Must be qualified to CSTDB, CSRT or CSSW

Salary negotiable based on proven experience.

Plus Commission and bonuses.
